With a recently acquired state grant in the amount of over $10,000, the Liberty Fire Company purchased all new hose.  With firefighter safety in mind the new hose was ordered color coded for ease of identification on the fire ground. The hose was placed on the Quint, Tac, and Engine 63-5.

The Quint has 2 new 200' 1-3/4" preconnects, 200' 3" preconnect  for the blitz line, and  100' preconnected 1-3/4" bumper line. Along with 300' of 3" supply line.

Engnine 63-5 has 3 new 200' 1-3/4" preconnects, 200' of 3" supply line, and 100' of preconnected 1-3/4" bumper line.

Tac 63 has recieved 1000' of new 1" forest line.

As you can see, each hose is a different color. Each hose color corresponds with the color valve on the pump panel. For example, the red hose is operated by the red valve on the pump panel. This makes communication easier for the firefighters when they are on the scene of a fire.
