The LFC is proud to present to our community two members who recently completed NFPA 1001 Firefighter 1 certification. These individuals participated in four modules totaling over 172 hours each to achieve this level.

Pamela Petion joined the LFC in 2024 while she was attending the protective services program at the Western Center for Technology during high school. After she graduated from high school, Pam registered for the Firefighter 1 Program. She has been very active and wishes to continue her education further. She has been a great asset for the LFC.

Anthony Propst joined the LFC in 2023. In a twist of fate, Anthony became interested in the fire service after having a home fire at his residence. Initially, Anthony joined as a fire police officer and attended several classes for Fire Police. He then enrolled in the Firefighter 1 program.

A graduation ceremony will be held at the Montgomery County Fire School later next week for both members and their peers who also completed this program.
