New Unit for LFC

July 22, 2025

The Liberty Steam Fire Engine Co. No.1 is proud to introduce our newest piece of equipment. The LFC will be working over the next few weeks to Equip, upgrade, and train on our “New to us” 2015 Polaris Ranger 800 6x6 equipped with a fire and EMS skid unit that only has 109 miles on it at the time of our purchase.

This unit is capable of discharging water at a rate of 20-65 gallons of water per minute. It has a 70-gallon poly tank for water storage, and a booster reel equipped with 1” hose. This unit, once equipped, will allow us to provide fire protection to hard-to-reach areas. Some of these areas include, but not limited to, the Schuylkill River trail area, the river front, or any other off road terrain.

This unit also features an area where an injured person can be loaded and secured to the unit and transported to areas where an ambulance is located.

Along with the already mentioned areas, this unit will also be very beneficial in large area events such as our annual car show.

Once the unit is ready for service, it will be designated as ATV 63.

Stay tuned!!!
