The LFC has been awarded a Pennsylvania Local Share Grant, sponsored by the Borough of Spring City. This grant, totaling $34,189, will be used to update the exterior of the apparatus building, which has remained largely unchanged since its construction in 1974. Planned improvements include replacing the outdated vinyl siding and updating the sign on the front of the building.
The grant was made possible through the essential support from the Borough of Spring City. Additional assistance was received from Mayor Adam Alberico, Representative Paul Friel, Senator Katie Muth, and the Chester County Commissioners.
