Station 63 was kept busy on Saturday with 4 calls. The first call was reported at 16.33 for reported smoke in an apartment at 29 N. Main Street in the Borough, crews found burnt food on the stove and ventilated the apartment and returned with Ladder and Traffic making the response then at 18.20 the company was dispatched to assist the Royersford Fire Department on an odor investigation at the Spruce Court Apartments in Royersford Borough crews could not find any problem and all units returned, Ladder and Traffic responded, at 19.39 crews were alerted to smoke in the area of the walking trail off of Bridge Street where crews found a small fire in a homeless encampment that was extinguished with Squad, Traffic and ATV63 making the response and returned about one hour later, great work by members to get through the heavenly wooded area to get to it and keep it from spreading then at 22.44 company was alerted for an alarm at 177 Chestnut Street in the Borough for an automatic fire alarm where crews found a heating problem and no service was needed and units returned with Ladder, Squad and Traffic making the response.
