Late Night Accident in the Borough
Liberty Steam Fire Engine Company No.1, January 13
Just before 0100 hours the LFC was dispatched to the intersection of New and Main Streets for a vehicle accident. Crews arrived shortly after the dispatch to find a two vehicle accident. One of the vehicles involved had struck a building at 93 North Main Street. It was determined that there were no injuries and EMS was released. Auto Fire Assist to Montco 98
Liberty Steam Fire Engine Company No.1, January 10
On January 10th at approximately 1730 hours the LFC was dispatched to assist Montco 98 (RFD) on an auto fire in the parking lot of Rite Aid in Royersford Borough. Units arrived to find a work van with fire in the rear storage area. RFD arrived and deployed an attack line. LFC kept busy overnight
Liberty Steam Fire Engine Company No. 1, December 28
Yesterday evening a 2129 hours the LFC was dispatched to Main & Bridge Street for the accident. Units arrived and found a single vehicle had struck a pole and no injuries were reported. Fire Police closed the roadway while the fire crew cleared debris. While returning to the station at 2158 hours, the LFC was alerted to assist Montco 98 (Royersford) for the dwelling fire. Burn Ban Notice (Rescinded)

The County of Chester has removed the burn ban that was to be in effect till December 26, 2024.
While the countywide burn ban has been lifted, please see the respective burn ordinance for your town or township. We have included those for our first response area. Spring City residents, please pay special attention to the newly adopted ordinance that went into effect a few months ago.

Spring City Borough Christmas Tree Lighting
Liberty Steam Fire Engine Company No. 1, December 07
Tonight Engine and Traffic 63 along with 7 personnel attended the Spring City Borough Christmas Tree Lighting at the Spring City library hosted by the Spring City Parks and Recreation Committee. While the people waited for Santa to arrive they enjoyed hot chocolate and snacks and boarded a bus to tour the Borough homes and their decorations. LFC Trick or Treat Night

Tonight the LFC crew had a good night at their annual Trick or Treat night. Plenty of candy was given out and we ran out of hot dogs after we gave out around 120 and lots of pictures were taken along with tours of the Fire Trucks. Park Springs Trunk or Treat
Liberty Steam Fire Engine Company No. 1, October 27
Last night 8 members of LFC traveled out the the Park Springs Apartments in East Vincent Township to their annual Trunk or Treat. Crew members handed out candy to all the children that stopped by and hot chocolate was also supplied by the apartments. Once again a good time was had by all and we look forward to next year.... LFC has a busy afternoon
Liberty Steam Fire Engine Company No. 1, October 21
Starting at about 1300 hours the LFC was alerted to assist the RFD with a gas leak inside. Shortly after returning from this incident, at 1400 hours both departments were alerted to the Whitehall for the AFA. This was found to be the rest of an oven in self clean mode.
